A Decentralized Model for Self-managed Web Services Applications

Abstract

Self-management in distributed systems is a way to cope with the growing complexity of these ones today, and its support in existing systems requires a transformation in their architectures. This work presents a decentralized model for the implementation of self-management capabilities, which also has the advantage of avoiding the single point of failure (SPOF) issue, providing more robustness to the management system. The proposed architecture has been validated in a real distributed application.
